A View from the Porch

July...the month of rejuvenation and the fresh promise of a year filled with Pinteresty quality bulletin boards and lesson plans usually dashed quickly with the reality of too much to do and not enough time.

I always find myself experiencing the same sort of summer situation. I have grand plans of turning my home into a Better Homes and Garden house in just the first 2 weeks of summer, followed by 8 weeks of peaceful sunrise coffee on the porch swing. The reality has been 6 weeks of laundry (there are only 3 of us!?!), a backyard that our dogs and son have claimed Lord of the Flies style, and a Summer Food Pinterest board that has never been tried. Anyone else experience this phenomenon?
This year I am determined to overcome it somewhat, both personally and professionally.  I have already jumped into the classroom, my Erin Condren planner is ordered, and vacation activities are happening between cleaning the house. I also will wrestle the backyard back into shape  slow down and drink some coffee or Mom just might be on the front porch instead. #dontseeitdonthavetodealwithit
Happy Summer Everyone!

Possibilities! Potential!

Love these garage doors! Our school is amazing!
